Wehrpass Leutnant Kurt Eckle Griekenland Leros Festungsbrigade 968.Kurt Eckle geboren te Stuttgart 30 01 1919, hij is van beroep verkoper en beheerst de Engelse en Franse taal. Na zijn RAD dienst wordt hij per 16 02 1940 ingedeeld bij Infanterie Nachrichten Ersatz Kompanie 205 als funker. Vervolgens wordt hij ingedeeld bij Infanterie regiment 555 tot 19 08 1942 waarbij hij oostfront actie meemaakt. Dan wordt hij ingedeeld bij Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 320 tot 27 07 1943, in deze periode wordt hij bevorderd tot

Per 28-07-1943 wordt hij ingedeeld bij Festungs Infanterie Regiment 968 dat per 01-07-1944 wordt onbenoemd tot Festungsbrigade 968, waarbij hij deel uitmaakt van de bezettingstroepen op het Griekse eiland Leros tot 08-05-1945. Na de overgave komt hij in krijgsgevangenschap terecht, waarschijnlijk in de USA. Op de laatste notitie bladzijdes van de Wehrpass zijn vele aantekeningen gemaakt met adressen en namen uit diverse landen waaronder: Griekenland, Frankrijk, USA.

Kurt is onderscheiden met: kriegsverdienstkreuz mit schwertern, ostmedaille, schutzwall abzeichen, infanterie sturmabzeichen silber.

De Wehrpass is geheel gedenazificeerd, met grotendeels potlood. Zeer interessante Wehrpass voor verdere research.

Purchased with the idea to reduce counter clutter and have central location of fruits and vegetables. The idea behind the stacking basket bins is fine, but with limited counter space, it just seems to add to the clutter. I am also only able to use the bottom plate and one basket as stacking height would extend high enough to block cabinet doors. Good idea, but not for those with limited counter space and or lower cabinet clearance. Check measurements and counter space.
