First firing is the so called bisque firing where temperature goes as high as 1000C degrees. After that our buttons are ready to be glazed. We put 2 layers of glaze manually and when they've dried, buttons are fired for the second time at about 1230C degrees. The backside of the buttons stays unglazed. Its like a stone to the touch. Can

Please be aware that all our buttons are 100% handmade so there may be imperfections in size and shape but we always pay extra attention to make sure that they match each other within one set

These are about 22-23 mm and sold in set of 6

so we would probably suggest not to plan them for very light wool or fabric
