Kaikapu's Breath
Description
Kaikapu's BreathSpouting Horn is located on the South Shore in Kauai; its a natural blowhole carved out in the lava that forms the ledges at the waters edge. When the ocean tide flows into Spouting Horn, it gets pushed into a small chamber. Air is forced up and out along with the water, creating a stream of water and mist and an auditory cue a hissing sound. Hawaiian legend says that Kaikapu, a lizard goddess, was trapped by the fisherman Liko, who then tricked her
Hiʻiaka chopped off the dragon’s tail and threw it into the ocean
Whales are large and elusive creatures
green vista on a rolling hillside with views of the Pacific and the distant mountain range left a lasting impression
the conditions were rapidly changing
and the gentle breeze caressing your face
Imagine yourself strolling down the streets
When it finally happened
the sun sets directly behind the archway and shines through
and a haze obstructing the view of the Channel Islands
and vivid pinks with magentas harmoniously blend together
Capturing the beauty of sunrises and sunsets can be a daunting task
