Nepenthes [(maxima x campanulata) x veitchii "The Wave" #2] x (truncata x veitchii)-red -Seed podEach pod usually contains 10 30 seeds. We can't guarantee germination since we have never grown this cross out but we have inspected all pods and they have obviously viable looking embryos. Nepenthes seeds are best sown on a layer of milled sphagnum moss or well leached coco peat above a more traditional Nepenthes mix. They should be kept in a moderately well lit area (50 100 ppfd). The seeds need to be kept wet and humid in the 60 80 temperature

It’s a cross between a red Nepenthes ampullaria and Nepenthes ventricosa

Nepenthes spathulata x hamata exhibits the wicked peristome from hamata Tambusisi form with the beautiful shape of Nepenthes spathulata

The Pasian form of truncata grows in the same range as Nepenthes robcantleyi and can be grown well under highland conditions (although we keep it in our lowland room with our other truncatas and it does well there too)

'Black Miracle' tends pass along its black variegation to its offspring and as well as dark pitcher color

The abaxial (backside) becomes a solid

The plant for sale is exhibiting variegation in the previous 2 leaves but the newest one is not variegated

It opens up bright yellow and striped and slowly darkens to a deep purple on the edges as the interior stays yellow

We expect a vigor cross capable of being grown across a wide range of conditions with a lot of color and wide peristomes

There should be a lot to look to look forward to in this hybrid and I expect a great amount of variability
