Herpa USAF McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender - 2nd BW, Barksdale AB (original delivery colors) - 79-0433 1/500 ScaleOn September 26, 2024, the last two KC 10 Extenders left Travis Air Force Base. Since 1980, the KC 10 had been a crucial asset for U. S. and allied forces, flying airlift and aerial refueling missions across the globe. The KC 10 could carry twice as much fuel as the older KC 135 and at the same time almost as much cargo as the C 17 Globemaster. To commemorate its retirement, Herpa is releasing a small three model, limited edition series of the trijet.
