Though it's a warm grower
It's striking coloration is like no other Nepenthes we've seen
Seedlings currently have pale coloration which we've noticed is a common characteristic of many young plants of crosses with spectabilis parentage
Anthurium recavum is an amazing species
This species was recently described and once was designated as “black truncata”
Here we've crossed Nepenthes 'Splendid Diana' (a select clone of kampotiana x maxima) with Nepenthe veitchii "Pink Candy Cane"
We have grown it as a lowlander and it does fine as well
Pitchers on 'Judith Hindle' open up green with lots of white windows in the lid
It produces beautifully veined leaves that open up red and then fade to bronze then green as the leaf hardens
The plant produces huge pitchers and is extremely vigorous for us under lowland
Grown outside Alocasia must be brought inside when temperatures drop below 55*
