2006年生まれの靈樹の作品は、絵画、彫刻、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスなど領域を超えた多岐にわたるものであり、2022年には「galerie tenko presents」で初個展「Untitled 1」を開催している。同ギャラリーは、キュレーターである点子（中島点子 / Tenko Nakajima）が主催・運営する新進気鋭のギャラリーであり、東京のオフサイト・スペースで国際的に活躍するアーティストを紹介するプロジェクトである。

アメリカ人フォトグラファーのウォーカー・エヴァンス（Walker Evans）による最晩年のポラロイド写真作品から着想を得たこの作品は、自身の最初の作品集『SLEEPING BY THE MISSISSIPPI』（2004年）の刊行から20年経た上での作者の実践における新たな広がりと新しい景色が見られる地点を感じ取ることができる。『BROKEN MANUAL』（2010年）での発想を思い起こさせる本作は、内省と挑発を隠すために、うわべだけの教育的な体裁を用いており、若きアーティストの経験を追った研究であるとともに、本書は歳を重ねたアーティストになっていく予感でもあるのだ。
