This was an appropriate nickname for a Great Western designed machine wearing a livery inspired by the locomotives of the London & North Western Railway, but the image suited the elegantly proportioned 78XX locomotives

ahead of its twinning ceremony with HMS Ajax which would see it gain the smaller version of the ship’s crests

The locomotive gained the name “Cottam Power Station” soon after construction
